Casa del Sol (house of the sun) has fabulous air brushed murals both insideand outside the villa. The second floor living room has a handcarved couch and chairs upholstered in a luxurious leopard patterned silk. Colorful silkis used extensively to cover throw pillows in the living spacesand bedrooms of the villa. Many are shaped like reef fish in thebedrooms and make a colorful tropical accent along side the lovely handmade quilts foreach of the beds. The villa also has hand painted Talavera china dishesthat were custom made for the house in a sun motif. Exotic masksand cultural ornaments from around Latin America give this villa adecidedly exotic aura, and its spacious living spaces makes it a perfectvilla for entertaining. New stoves and refrigerators were just installedin both kitchens. One kitchen is by the large patio entertainment area at ground level, andthe other is on the second floor off the interior living room. Bothkitchens are equipped and have raised counters with bar stools.

Casa del Sol offers 4,400 sq. ft. of comfortableliving space along with spacious balconies and a rooftop observation deckthat overlooks Yal-ku Lagoon. Tropical birds, pelicans and migratorybirds are common to see, and after you've enjoyed the sunset, thisis a great location to stargaze. There are five air-conditioned bedrooms. The living spaces are immense and well suited for entertaining on any scale; from intimate meals inside, to outdoorextravaganzas on the first floor patio. For outdoor cookouts there isa waterside cabaña/pavilion with a thatched roof, and a large sandy backyardarea between the villa and the lagoon which has a swimming pool.

Casa del Sol can be combined with Casa Azul Riviera next door for very large groups. Combined the two villas can sleep up to 28 people making this arrangement very convenient forfamily reunions, weddings, workshops, executive retreats, seminars groups, and relaxed business meetings.
