Casa Cascadas

This Spanish "Hacienda style" oceanfront villa features a swimming pool, four air-conditioned bedrooms (two upstairs and two down) and several exterior terraces and patio decks. Casa Cascadas is also conveniently located between Half Moon Bay and Akumal Bay for shopping and proximity to beach bars, restaurants and activities. Cascadas’ two story Spanish colonial design is pleasing to the eye with numerous brick arches and custom made brick trim accent.

Inside on the lower level is a spacious, fully equipped kitchen with lots of counter space and a dining table, very convenient for snacks and impromptu meals. Another more formal dining area is between the kitchen and living room. Each dining area seats six. To one side is a TV/library entertainment area with two love seats. There are two bedrooms on this lower level, each with a king size bed and sliders to the ocean patio. Both have private bathrooms with showers and one also has a tub.

The living room is two steps down from the central dining area and has plenty of glass to enjoy the ocean view. The living room has a couch, two love seats, chairs and a couple coffee tables. Two sliders open from the living room to the ocean side patio terrace which is a wonderful area to enjoy the view and sea breeze. The ocean patio has a shade palapa with a hammock and chaise lounges, and opposite the palapa is a table and chairs for outside dining. Sharing a meal on the patio or catching a siesta in a hammock under the palapa can become a daily event.

Down by the surf a sandy tanning area faces the sea and provides a sea entrance when the ocean is calm. A stairway leads from the ocean patio down to the sandy tanning area.

The swimming pool is right in front of the house with its water cascade and several chaise lounges for tanning. The pool deck has a charcoal grilling area perfect for cookouts by the pool and some seating is provided.

Up on the second floor is a jungle side open terrace with a table, chairs and a hammock, and on the Caribbean side is another terrace with a table, chairs and panoramic sea view. Upstairs bedrooms include the master bedroom with a king size bed, sitting area, private ocean balcony and a private bathroom with shower. Another upper level bedroom has one double and one singe bed, ocean view balcony terrace and a private bathroom with shower. All bedrooms are air conditioned and have either exterior terraces or patios.

A rooftop observation deck has the same marvelous view out on the Caribbean as the second level terrace. Both areas are comfortable places to socialize, stargaze and enjoy the breeze. This is a perfect house for large groups or families that need air conditioning, pool and plenty of space to gather, and at the same time, private areas to enjoy some privacy.
