This is a great find. A three bedroom, three bathroom house with AC, pool and just three minutes walking from Akumal's glorious main beach on Akumal Bay. If you love Akumal and just want to stay close to home then you may not even need to rent a car! All the conveniences of central Akumal are within easy walking distance like dive shops, Lol-ha beach bar, restaurants, gift shops, grocery stores, Internet, taxis, and the Akumal Pueblo is just across highway 307.

Everything on one level There's no walking up and down tedious flights of stairs at Casa Maleno. Everything is on the garden/pool level with no more than a step or two at the verandah which wraps around two sides of the house. Inside, the living room has plenty of space with an L shaped couch, coffee table, reclining chair and entertainment center with satellite TV, DVD and CD stereo. A glass slider opens from the living room to the garden side verandah with table and chairs. This is a pleasant place to read or take a meal while overlooking the banana trees. Another slider from the dining room joins everything and makes entertaining groups easy. Back inside, the kitchen is just behind the living room and is fully equipped with the major appliances, an island with double sink and raised counter, and a healthy list of kitchen gadgets and conveniences (see amenities below).

Bedrooms and pool To the left of the living room is the master bedroom with a king size bed, satellite TV, master bathroom and glass slider that opens directly to the pool. The other two bedrooms are at the rear of the house off the kitchen. Each has a queen bed and bathroom and one also has a slider to a private garden patio. Out front by the pool there's plenty of room for sunbathing in lounge chairs and mahogany sling-back chairs, and there's shade if needed under the verandah roof. The mini waterfall in the pool helps complete the fantasy and an outdoor shower is convenient for rinsing after sunbathing. On one end of the pool there's a outdoor kitchen under roof with food prep area and a gas grill, perfect for cookouts by the pool. Larger groups will have plenty of seating around the pool and under the verandah, plus all the space inside the living room, dining room, and the garden side of the verandah.
